Fitness Test Explanation (It is important that candidates read this thoroughly prior to taking the physical fitness assessment).
The Department conducts Physical Abilities Tests (PAT) on a monthly basis. The following chart shows the testing dates over the next 8 months and when the candidates need to apply by to be considered for each testing date. Candidates who are selected for testing will receive a formal invitation via e-mail.
The Military Department's Emergency Management Division (EMD) does not have a sufficient numbers of trained disaster specialists to manage and recover from a major or catastrophic disaster. The EMD initiated the Human Services and Public Assistance Disaster Reservist programs to quickly provide additional human resources to support the states' actions in a disaster or on an "as needed basis."
Human Services Reservist Program
